I love the northwest Iowa tourism bureau, they have all kinds of information on Indians from the area. It seems that everything from Sioux City to the smallest stream in the area comes from an Indian word or name. The funny thing is that there are very few Indians in the area, perhaps they were all moved onto the reservations back in the days when the white man was taking over the west. If that is the case I have to wonder why they kept the names of the Indians instead of changing those names to English heritage names. Something like Bob City would work just fine.
