The long time owner of my company of employment, has decided to retire. This was kept under wraps, until after the company was in the process of being sold to a foreign investment  capital group. We were shocked and felt blindsided by the news. I’ve decided to take advantage of the situation. I’m currently in my late 30s and plan to use this opportunity to transition to a new  opportunity. I’m going to do some research and look into owning  a retail store franchise type business, maybe something like a sporting goods store, i.e. Big 5 or Dick’s Sporting Goods.
