One of the all time best collections tactic’s is the ability to send out mailers with a law firm’s letterhead. Implying to some extent that the debtor may at some point get sued. First off if any collector is harassing a debtor over the phone and threatening to sue, without actually being in process of doing so, is breaking the law.
