I have always thought that doing a destination wedding would be perfect. Now that I am engaged, I am giving it even more serious consideration. I think it would be great to get married right on the water, and then have our reception right near by as well. I also like that it is in the United States so that no one will need to get a passport and it is not that far for people to travel.

Sharon and I were looking for information on the Web about the cash for old cars program and found out that our car qualifies. Now we’re trying to narrow it down as far as what kind of car we want to buy. We’ve been listening to car review podcasts, reading reviews on Websites, etc.

I’m leaning toward the Ford Fusion Hybrid. It averages 39 miles per gallon, so that’s pretty decent, and the hybrid technology is supposed to be vastly improved over what’s been out there.

She like the Fusion too, but I think she wants something a little bigger.

When I was a kid, I always watch my dad play his guitar; he would even ask me to sing while he was strumming. Whenever we would go out to the mall to do some shopping, my dad would always check on this specialty music shop and check out on their new instruments available. And for me, I would just go around the shop and look for something that would interest me. I was running around when I accidentally tripped and pushed a saxophone on the floor, good thing nothing happened to it.

My husband doesn’t like to think about anything happening to either of us, but I finally convinced him that we need to have a will drawn up.  We have been married for nine years and have built a very successful business together.  We don’t have any children of our own, but we each have two children from previous marriages.  I am pretty sure one of the kids will contest any will we draw up since none of them get along.  We are using an experienced Los Angeles probate attorney to help us draw up a will and plan our estate.

To say that the 80’s era of popular music was diverse, with an incredible divergence in mass approved styles would be an understatement.  One of the most popular forms of music today, is of course, Rap.  What many people don’t know though is that Rap was actually first introduced on a national level along side all the current popular 80’s songs in the latter part of that decade.

Yes, Rap has enjoyed mass appeal for at least twenty years.  That would have to make it one of the longest mainstream music styles in history.  The funny thing is, Rap popularity has no end in sight, even though it’s roots are in the 80’s songs era.  Maybe there will be a new upcoming evolution of Rap to guide it into another decade or two of mass appeal, or just maybe, it doesn’t need to be fixed.

I met with David at lunch today to talk about licensing for music on his Website. The new music he’s been using has been pretty easy to get permissions from the songwriters and artists, but now he’s wanting to put some standards up as well, so he’s at least got to do licensing for the songwriter royalties even if he can get permission from the artists.

I’ve been doing ASCAP and BMI reporting for three or four years now, so I told him pretty much what to expect and how to set up his records. I’ll probably help him with the first quarter reports too to make sure he’s got everything right.
