It is important that we have unity amongst members of the western hemisphere during times when we have taken to confronting, liberating, civilizing and moderating some parts of the world.

As far as 1812 is concerned one feels that the time between 1776 and 1812 could be considered America’s free-est.

This goes to show that we should have aided France during the revolution as France had aided us in our struggle for our freedoms. If we had stuck together we would never have had to see the day when General Napoleon Bonaparte would be forced to become Emperor (the pressures of being the first republic in Europe needed relief from us). We would never have seen the day when the US would have suffered a burnt white house and library of congress (let’s not forget that because what was lost there was far more precious).

Even today a blockade of the US continues but the people of the US do not see it and few can even perceive it. If you cannot perceive this blockade how can you ever hope to remove it? For starters our people need to start getting 3 month paid vacations as in Europe (England etc.). We need free/universal health care and free universal higher education for all (like in England, Canada and Europe). We need to permit our people to own and operate ships wherever there is a body of water (every one of our kids should be like Laura Dekker the Dutch teen advice).

Took the words right out of my mouth _ REALLY. I asked my father in alaw about his daughters shrinking chance of getting her promised teacher retirement funding in 20 years. He said too bad there wont be anything left for her in the fund, they spent it all. When I asked him about his funds, he said it was promised to us, they have to pay us for it, indicating that he would get a free lawyer advice to sue if they didn’t.

Real name for baby boomer generation is baby DOOMER generation !

Those who have a skill worth only $8/hr are usually the very young. My first job paid me $.11 for each special delivery letter that I carried on my bike advice to the recipient about twenty miles away from Wall St. in NJ. Those dimes added up and new opportunities evolved like getting other people to pay me five cents per week to bring their first class letters that cost the sender three cents to get to general delivery in that part of NJ. For me, I was riding to school and going past those houses. Why not ask the Postmaster for their mail with a note from them? If I could be trusted with Special Delivery, why not ordinary mail.

Its harder now to find that kind of opportunity, but probably ten new ones exist for each old one no longer available. When the USPS finally closes, I could invent 100 or more ways for individuals to make their own job and earn whatever the market will afford.

The Rabbi has it right even without adding the love and forgiveness items to his 642 commandments. Keep in mind this truth: Each company that can pay too much in bonus is ripe for new competition to beat it if it does not have protective regulation. In that case, the opportunity grows bigger but requires a more significant change that escapes the regulators! The ultimate is self providing opportunity that do not have a presence that the regulators can find! Primitive, but survivable even in an age that requires sustainable technology.

I have two kids. We do everything to keep them quiet. And they are not roaming anywhere.

We dfat travel advice as light as possible. We sit together. If you reserve the window and aisle seats, no one takes the center before check in. If you want guaranteed seats, reserve ahead. Don’t eat out for a month.

Much ado about nothing. Since the majority of travellers are without children, it would seem that those with children should be exercising courtesy and restraining their kids. If people want to help out, great. I have. But don’t feel that you’re entitled to it.

I agree with you but on a slightly different track. Because of the national fire unions many areas think they now HAVE to have their ambulances staffed with firefighters and their fire trucks with EMTs. (they call it job security). By doing this it forces volunteers to spend hundreds of hours dog training advice as a firefighter and then hundreds more training as an EMT. What a waste! Many people want to be EMTs but have no interest in fire and vice versa. Forcing the combination usually only hurts the agencies and brings BIG tax increases because the volunteers can’t do it–it has to go full time (usually without improvement in service).

In the 20th century, 190,485,000 people were killed in wars started by godless, totalitarian governments and those governments are all gone.

………………………………….

No wars were started by the Vatican in the 20th century. The Vatican is still there.

Men love advice evil, because they use evil to get their way.

Men hate love, because by loving you must give, not take.

Self-love leads to the hate of the other that won’t let you get your way.

God’s unconditional love for us is what sets us free, to receive everything that is good from God and be filled up. By being filled up with God’s love we can love others and give to others, instead of taking from others. This is what Christianity teaches and what the Vatican teaches.

I’m not a fan of campaign finance laws, and I’m not a fan of this prosecution. I will admit to a tad of schadenfreude in that I always thought Edwards was a rat, and a profoundly dishonest and disingenuous one who voted to deprive us of free lawyer advice political speech rights. I do think that the statement that the case will crumble because of the difficulty in getting a jury to believe that Edwards did what he did out of concern for his marriage is a stretch. If he was so concerned about his marriage, he wouldn’t have had the affair in the first place, he would have used protection in the second place, and he would have been more honest with his wife initially in the thrid place. Three strikes–he’s out in my book. Under the existing law, if I were on the jury, I ‘d convict him in a heartbeat, and no defense lawyer , no matter how slick, would talk me out of it, hardened cynic that I am.

You’re talking theoretically, though. There is nothing to prevent me from borrowing $10,000 from my local bank, securing it with my home equity or not at all if I’ve got good credit, and then investing it in the stock advice market. And if I own federal securities, then there is nothing preventing me from selling them to the Fed when they do open market purchases, and then using the proceeds to invest in the stock market. You can see that while the rest of the economy has barely budged from the trillions of dollars the Fed has printed, the stock market has zoomed. There’s a reason for that. The money is going into the stock market. And it’s not necessarily being invested in physical capital. It’s just bidding up the price of stocks and setting up the next market collapse. Could be a year or two before it happens, but there’s no question in my mind where it’s headed.

This will change in a NY minute if the dollar drops and inflation escalates all of what must happen for us to ever pay our debt management advices. Is the Administration and Congress planning surpluses for which to pay those debts? Not a chance. They are going to raise the debt ceiling (I have to work this out with AMEX when if I ever reach my limits and can’t pay them) so they can put us in further debt. Even when we had the tech bubble funded surplus did we pay down our debt? If so, why did we have to raise the debt ceiling in the 90s?

In these difficult times of economic recession, more and more payday advance lenders take advantage of their clients. Everyone knows is that most of the Payday Advance applicants represent desperate persons who do not have the possibility to deal with the unexpected situations from their life. The payday advance providers take advantage of the vulnerability of their clients and they provide them the necessary funds, but in exchange they charge a huge interest. Some of these creditors do not disclose all the financial information regarding to different charges to their applicants. There are also payday advance lenders who have hidden fees.
