I found three big plastic containers in the shed. I brought them inside and filled them with good basic general purpose potting soil. I’ve planted geraniums in two of them and the third one has begonias. The begonias are looking pretty good – nice shiny green leaves but not much yet in the way of blossoms. The geraniums have gone wild. Outdoors, they did all right but indoors, they are twice the height and much more luxuriant. Even if you have a full garden, you can think about container flower gardening. It does not have to be big. For instance, I plan to leave the geranium in their pots and place them out by the front walk when the spring comes. A nice big container full of colorful flowers on each side of the walkway is enticing and welcoming.
