Being a leader is hard, no matter what aspect you are serving in. It involves making decisions that affect other people and taking most of the heat when something goes wrong. But leadership in the army is even more difficult. This is because the choices that you make can actually mean the life or death of those under you. You have to be able to keep a cool head under intense pressure, and you have to have excellent judgement. Besides that, it is important that you are willing to put the life of others over your own. There are only a few people who are willing to do that.
