The region around Liverpool, where the Aintree Racecourse is located, contains many beach resorts, amazing views and little towns where you can find your touristy souvenirs to take back to your friends who wish they had all gone to the Grand National also. The best grand national tips can be found in the smallest and most innocent of places. Near Liverpool is Southport, a resort which has beautiful beaches, shops and restaurants. There are some great golf courses nearby to practice your golf in your spare time. Failing that, the beautiful coastal towns of St Helens, Halton and Knowsley are located on the Wirral Peninsula.
