I am wondering if any can tell me exactly what a DVD Decrypteris? My limited understand is that it is some kind of software that makes it possible to copy commercially made DVD’s for the purpose of having back up copies. You can see I have a basic understanding of what it is but not why it is necessary. Do DVD have something programmed on them that makes copying them difficult or impossible without this DVD Decrypter? I thought all it took was higher capacity CD’ or ones specifically designed for that use. Any more specific information would be greatly appreciated.
